Alisha L. Owensford

.Meet The Chef .......................

"..Cooking With Love Provides food for the soul.." This is a quote that our founder lives by. Alisha Owensford has always had a love for cooking. Growing up in New York City she experienced culture on another level. It is the melting pot of all pots and you have the opportunity to experience many different cultures along with their cuisines. For Alisha food has always been her outlet. As long as she could remember she had always been cooking . She learned to cook at the tender age of 7 from her late grandmother who was Panamanian. Her grandmother was an amazing cook and Alisha enjoyed learning new techniques and new recipes from her. When her grandmother passed her mother continued to teach her how to make magic in the kitchen. In the kitchen is where she found love and passion. Especially because the two most influential woman in her life shared that same passion. As she grew older the kitchen was the one place she could be herself. The kitchen is the place she learned to love not only herself but love others through feeding their souls. Whatever happened in her life the food is where she put her heart and soul into. The kitchen is the place she calls home because as soon as she steps foot into it , it becomes another world. Food is the key to the soul, good food is what brings people together. Food can change the atmosphere and bring out the joy people didn't know existed. It is the key to happiness for many. Spread love it's the Brooklyn way.. this truly embodies what B.C. stands for. Each meal is made with the intent of spreading love. It is an honor to introduce our Founder/Creator and Head Chef Alisha Owensford.

About B.C.

WHY BROOKLYNN CATERING?

The passion Alisha possessed  for food drove her to create her own catering business in 2015 called "Brooklynn Catering". The name came about because she was born and raised in Brooklyn , New York and it was only right to pay homage to the place where her craft began. Since it's inception the business has grown tremendously. Alisha has even began her own cooking classes teaching inner city youth in East Baltimore how to cook and perfect their crafts and turn a simple meal into something fulfilling and satisfying for themselves and family. B.C. caters to the needs of its clients and brings life to the event. In 2016 Alisha's mother passed away and it was then she knew Brooklynn Catering was something beyond what she wanted to do, it was something she needed to do. Not only for herself but for her mother and grandmother. Brooklynn Catering is a tribute to the two women who instilled the love of cooking into her and it is a reminder of their love and passion. In early 2017 Alisha decided to hone in on her ideas an venture out to more opportunities with Brooklynn Catering, hence why you are here. Food Truck is up Next ..................
